33 Years of Studio Memories
Since Fred began painting in the basement of our rented farm-home in 1975 so very much has transpired. Seasons of gardens, goats, chickens and children's voices blended with paintings of sunshine and snowfields, new grass and golden leaves. Fred's first large commissioned oil painting was created in the dark unheated granary that is now a bright beautiful gallery.
Near and far: walks in Nerstrand's Big Woods produced the Minnesota State Parks Sticker ('96); flights to Scandinavia were the result of American Swedish Artist honors with exhibitions and paintings of ancestral home-sites, opportunities to teach, and ongoing gallery shows.
